Be kind to an animal.
Be kind to strangers.
Be kind to each other.
Be kind to a troll.
Be kind to a shopkeeper.
Be kind to an extremist.
Be kind to a bus driver.
Be kind to a thug.
Be kind to the other.
Be kind to yourself.
While I devote my attention to the tiniest of lives (Two and Three passed peacefully over the weekend), I am walking the talk and doing my best to move past feelings of failure. Losing two of the rescued newborn kittens I agreed to foster last week has been heartbreaking, but at least its something different to cry over. With a mix of sadness and joy, I appreciate the welcome distraction and a new daily routine while I focus on keeping One alive.
Visit the calendar to find out what’s on, find updates in the Facebook group and check with the organizers for last minute schedule changes.
I am stepping back from the screen, including silent prayers with client materials delivered by email with gratitude to Central offices and reminding myself daily, sometimes hourly and occasionally by the minute: breathe.
It’s time to mind our own feelings — the only way out is through.
Harness the full force of tonight’s full moon to direct all of our energy towards compassion and begin a dialogue.
Our healing begins now. We are all in this together. There is no other.
Listen to your own heartbeat.
Naturally,
