Kinzie

Kinzie – the one and only

Known as well for her warmth and hugs as her holistic approach to communications, Kinzie has been active in Hong Kong media since her arrival in 1992, promoting natural (LOHAS) options here since 2000.

Grounded in experience in Hong Kong’s dynamic marketplace after an early career with non-profits in Canada, Kinzie has been an active participant in Asia’s entrance to the global stage over the past 27 years, particularly in media, telecoms, F&B, retail, MICE and the regional broadcasting industry.

Kinzie is the person for all things natural in HK, she knows all that there is to know and has a wealth of experience from years spent in HK. She created the HK Heartbeat Directory and has been instrumental in so many connections made in this town. She is also a gorgeous lady with a heart of gold.” Charlotte Douglas, 8 December 2016

Kinzie is well recognized as a local market pioneer actively supporting manufacturing, distribution, importing, retailing while serving industry associations and non-profit organizations. Being an industry insider allows her to be well versed not only in the development the natural and organic industry, but also the reality of the market frustrations and limitations. Trusted, long-term relationships with local professionals and international organizations are a powerful factor contributing to growing the industry and serving network members.

Walking the Talk – a personal story.

Before HK heartbeat, there was the successful rebrand of The Source (The New Age News), Hong Kong’s original mind-body-spirit magazine. It was there she became known as the go-to for everything natural in Hong Kong.

Kinzie starting by grouping replies to individual email requests and quickly recognized a surprising local demand for all things mind.body.spirit. In 2001, she established HK heartbeat to serve vibrant but invisible holistic communities operating here.

You are doing a great service to the spiritual community.” Sandra Gonzales, 26 October 2001

Combining media industry expertise with self-taught online publishing tools, she designed digital and print communications and produced public and private member events to connect local customers, professionals and organizations.

Before launching HK heartbeat, Kinzie was Director of Membership and Committee Affairs for AVIA – the Asia Video Industry Association (previously known as CASBAA – The Cable & Satellite Broadcasting Industry of Asia) where she managed projects and relationships with Regional Directors of Turner Broadcasting, BBC, Discovery Networks, PWC, National Geographic, STAR TV, PCCW, Disney, HBO and Sony, created and produced industry Ad Seminars in Hong Kong and Singapore, hosted a member breakfast with Ted Turner in Hong Kong and coordinated the very first China Cable Operators Summit in Beijing, featuring an unprecedented live and uncensored satellite down link feed on site.
