Next step

“A business that makes nothing but money is a poor business.” Edmund Burke

This week, we are preparing for the next big step.

While the kids are heading back to school and the parents are heading back to work, we are winding up the summer of clean and getting ready for fall with a fresh, new approach.

It’s been an exciting few months as we reach a whole new level of awareness in Hong Kong. Public interest groups are meeting with government leaders to tackle the growing issue of coastline pollution.

Plans are in the works to shut down Des Voeux Road Central next month for a day of fun and arts and music for pedestrians only. New restaurants and shops are popping up faster than I can keep track of them and this is a challenge I am happy to face.

With all the rain, it has been easy for me to stay inside and develop new tools to make it even easier for you to find what you’re looking for … even when you’re not sure what you’re looking for.

The slow season is winding down and I am shifting up a gear.

In case you hadn’t noticed, the public calendar has a whole new look.

Until the end of August, all subscribers have access to the member calendar with external links plus a link to complete event details and contact information all in one place.

Starting in September, free subscribers will receive the public listings in the newsletter without the links to details. Everything stays the same for paid personal members. It is easy for you to join now with lots of time to continue receiving the news you’re used to.

My plan is to continue sharing a lot with everyone and offer a new option to pay a little and save yourself a lot of time.

Please take advantage of the free listings in the new natural marketplace until the end of this month with places to advertise new products, professional services, second-hand goods and the jobs you want plus opportunities you may have.

There is a lot of positive change in the air and I trust you will welcome this change and new chapter of HK heartbeat.

With a little love and support, we can all reach our full potential.

What do you think?
