Special |
This week we are encouraging everyone to see that something special in everybody. The digital world was meant to bring us closer together and instead we are using it to build a great divide. The lines we draw on the map are not recognized in this new global reality where ideas spread like wildfire. We are learning what "going viral" really looks like with an actual virus spreading contagion in the real world. We are quickly learning that those people in that country over there have human experiences a lot like our own. Our local community is expanding around our little blue planet as members say their goodbye's to Hong Kong. Rather than closing doors, we are opening windows and seeing what life looks like on the other side. We are peeking into the lives of everyday people making remarkable impacts in everyday lives. With all this change, we are finding plenty of difference and even more similarities. As borders close and conversations open, we begin to recognize our humanity. We search for ways to make a difference and find our own unique gifts. This is the time to take some time out and enjoy doing what we love. Our favorite things are usually the best we have to offer. Do you see that you're special? Naturally,

Hong Kong provides a critical part of the home range for the broader dolphin population, but local dolphin abundance here has dropped by over 80 per cent in the past 15 years, threatened by habitat loss and degradation, as well as dwindling fisheries, marine traffic and other human threats. We need your help to secure their future -- sign our petition. |
