HK heartbeat -- the natural network

This week, we mark the 52nd Earth Day.

Although the annual event has been widely hijacked by commerce, the reasons for the occasion seem more relevant than ever and our little blue planet will take any attention she can get.

Our city is easing back into social life with a few more options for gathering and local businesses are counting on our support and our patience as we figure out new ways of being together.

The sense of urgency to get back to normal is tempered with a fresh understanding of our fragile social infrastructure and the number of close neighbors whose lifestyle is far from our idea of normal.

Before we take on the pressure of getting somewhere fast, we still have time to recall the ease that comes from having nowhere to go and nothing to do and question where we are actually going.

It will be some time before we're moving freely again.

Old wasteful habits are ready for new routines.

Will you ease into a new rhythm?

Naturally,
