Day 1: Science to Policy Day

The morning plenaries aim to inform participants about climate adaptation needs and efforts in Hong Kong. Senior management of both HKUST and the HKSAR Government will kick off the conference. International experts will share the latest climate science. Senior government officials will introduce Hong Kong’s climate policies, as well as adaptation planning and projects.

The afternoon concurrent Workshops aim to let participants reflect on the key issues raised in the morning, using Hong Kong’s major development plans as the discussion cases (Workshop A), as well as to discuss climate preparedness and resilience policies, plans and cooperation strategies between Government, Business and Community (Workshop B).

Day 2: Academic Day

Scholars are invited from various universities to participate in discussions on important aspects of climate adaptation and resilience.

Day 3: The Policy & Green Finance Forum

The focus is on climate risks, I&T, policy, and the financing aspects of climate change, including talent training/capacity building. (By invitation)
