Green weekend ahead

Word on the street is that there is some kind of big party happening in Hong Kong this weekend. We heard that the sevens are going green, promoting recycling of plastic and food waste at the event. We also know that you can’t bring in your own anything, so remember to drink plenty of water if you want to enjoy the final match and still have energy next week.

It is also a big weekend for Clean Air Network hosting ON AIR on Saturday and Sunday in Sheung Wan with activities planned to raise awareness about air pollution, transportation policy and urban planning. Of course, everyone has plans for what to do when the lights are out for an hour at 8:30 on Saturday and Grassroots Pantry is offering a Candelight Dinner for Earth Hour to show commitment for our little blue planet.

Even the beaches are going green this weekend. Surprise your plants with local, clean fertilizer and grab your a bucket to get some fresh air collecting gathering nutrient-rich kelp provided free by nature. A little goese a long way. Watch your plants get happy.
