This week we are feeling the love.
Today we are marking another year of HK heartbeat — we’re 17 today.
And we are celebrating the originals who inspired this adventure many moons ago.
Our original name lasted exactly 5 days and then it was a scramble to register a new domain and get up and running the following Tuesday after heartbeat came to me during a weekend mindfulness workshop.
Beginning with the humble email newsletter, the first event was organized to launch the print directory in 2005 and I started building the website directory in 2006 to maintain current listings online. Our first online guide appeared in 2014 and our new series will feature conscious gifts and helpful hints from members in plenty of time for a healthy, happy holiday season.
I am a geek at heart, so it makes sense to grow with tech and embrace digital social to connect with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram … we have already outlasted Google+ and I’m always on the lookout for new ways to deliver fresh content and local contacts for positive change.
These days, we’re getting help with our mission to promote natural life in the fast lane from Green Queen and Liv magazine. Sonalie, Tracy and Sarah have proven their passion for sustainable living by keeping the lights on in our expensive city. We’re happy they’ve joined the fun and are reaching an ever widening audience, outlasting numerous publications that have come and gone over the years.
We’re here to stay and you can celebrate our happy birthday with these special offers until the end of the month.
What would you like to see next?
Naturally,
Everything is connected.
Listen to your own heartbeat.
