A tiny home for heartbeat :: 24 February 2022 :: Issue #1050 :: read online |
[First Name], Between fielding public requests from people wanting to share the love and preparing the home protocols, I'm making sales calls and sending emails to make up for a revenue shortfall and cover urgent costs due now for the next big little move. The new landlord is holding the lease while I raise the deposits and she has waited patiently since last Friday but there is a waiting list for this rare tiny property that is perfect for HK heartbeat's new home. This 50% downsize will slash overheads in the name of supporting my labour of love. A few friends asked me to set up a new online fundraising campaign for sharing because we're off to a very slow start as Hong Kong grinds to a halt and the focus turns to healing in our community. Homelessness is on the rise and I do not intend to become a statistic during these tough times. Twenty years of providing free community services is taking its toll. But Hong Kong is my home and I am not leaving any time soon. Thanks for considering this urgent appeal for support or get in touch to talk about advertising or sponsorship. Stay strong, stay healthy and think warm thoughts. We've got this. Naturally,

Be prepared"I read a useful Chinese article that a colleague sent the other day which mentioned the following 'must have items' for the home." Jen
For light fevers, best not to take anything, but if over 38.5, take Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and avoid taking Ibuprofen (Advil). This is on the advice of a report from German doctors that described many young patients in the ICU unit who use Ibuprofen which worsened their COVID symptoms. In contrast, Tylenol has less of an impact on the stomach. |
