Balancing

“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.” Albert Einstein

This week, we realize the fragility of balance.

I remember my first experience of balance riding a bicycle.

I remember learning to balance with friends on the see-saw.

It took longer to begin the task of creating a balanced lifestyle.

My life includes work so I don’t subscribe to work-life balance.

Balance is the delicate point when each side is harmony with the other.

Sometimes the experience lasts for hours and sometimes it continues for years.

More often, it is a fleeting moment reminding us of what is possible in life.

Nature has mastered the inputs and outputs to perfect this state of grace.

Our inputs impact others in the system that will trigger outputs to reset.

Our balance sheets need more than just cash to keep things moving.

Choosing either side means being aware of our current status.

Relationships will harmonize with the same open approach.

We listen first to ourselves and before engaging the other.

We listen next to the other to understand their status.

Constant attention takes constant practice and calm.

Staying in motion means sometimes taking a rest.
